Men's Leaders
One word: WOW.
There you see the three leaders of the race. In the end, the guy in second place in this picture, Paul Tergat from Kenya defeated the defending champion Hendrick Ramaala of South Africa, by a third of a second. 26.2 miles... and the difference between first and second place was less than a second. Wow! Tergat's time was 2:09:29.
Tergat is the world record holder in the marathon, having run Berlin in 2:04:55. That's two hours and four minutes! Think about that...
The guy running in third place (and finished in third place) in this picture is Meb Keflezighi of the United States. Meb shocked the world by winning the Silver Medal in Athens.

Wow! I'm so jealous that you got to see this race up close. I was rooting for Meb...
Anyhow, did you happen to see a big guy running the marathon in a fleece elk suit? It was Diesel's co-worker!
I did! I thought it was a squirrel, though. He had his head off. I also saw a pink bunny and a pair of rhinos. The rhinos looked REALLY hot.
