They Say It's Your Birthday

I arrived on Maui yesterday for my niece Kaia's first birthday. Kaia screamed all the way back from the airport. She finally let me hold her at about 6pm, after about four hours of general squeemishness.

She didn't like me again this morning. But, I'm sure she'll be fine this afternoon.

My brother Steve and his life partner Leslie have big plans for today. This is going to the party to end all parties.

I'm also looking forward to seeing my uncle Bill and auntie Janet, the two sweetest people on the planet.
